DIY Yellow Cape

You may have seen a bit of yellow sunshine popping up on the runway and on the streets  recently.

Well, continuing with my love for all things bright, I went vintage with this gorgeous YELLOW  cape.  This lemon yellow wool from Mood’s Fabric was perfect for a cape to drape over my shoulders.  Pattern used was Burda.  The cape was lined with the same fuchsia silk fabric used here from Thai Silks.   I’m pretty sure you’ll see me wearing a cape again, and also with a few different options come F/W 2014 season.   I know, I know…winter just passed and I’m already thinking too far ahead.  Even in the S/S season, you need a little somethin’ somethin’ on your shoulders (that cold corner desk in the office or movie date) so think about a cape next time you reach for a cardigan or blazer.
