Celebrating Labor Day with Flowers

A friend asked me a few days ago if I wore white after Labor Day. I thought about their question for a few seconds and stated," yes." There are no rules in fashion. Just wear what your heart's desire. For tradition, I'll wear a few white pieces this weekend; and beyond this weekend as well (forget the no white after Labor Day rule).
I had to postpone finishing the jacket for a few weeks. The options for shoulder pads were limited at the local fabric store near me; so I decided to take my search online. Wawak.com has a wonderful array of shoulder pads and everything else under the sun.
This fabric was purchased earlier this year from JoAnn's. I used Vogue, option C with no alterations. I'm very pleased with the pattern, the fitted waistline is a favorite feature of the pattern, and I know that it will be in heavy rotation this Fall/Winter season. Besides, you can never have too many blazers. Blazers worn outside the office adds sophistication and even a bit of edge especially when worn with jeans and heels.
